

This course applies to persons who are required to work safely at heights. It includes: Identifying the work requirements, work procedures and instructions for the task; accessing and installing equipment, performing work at heights; and cleaning up the work area.

A Statement of Attainment and wallet card issued to individual participants who successfully complete the requirements of the unit of competency and have a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI)

Participants shall be required to complete an online enrolment process including providing a valid USI. Participants must provide photo ID to verify their identity. Participants shall be required to attend the entire session and complete all assessment activities.

Typically industry require that refresher training is conducted every 2-3 years

What will participants need to bring?
If we are providing training at your workplace participants will be required to bring any of their normal protective clothing with them. They will also require photo identification to verify their enrolment details.
If you are attending a public course please ensure to wear long pants and preferably boots. Participants will be required to wear a hard hat for some activities, if you have your own you may prefer to bring it with you however we do have communal ones available.

What should I expect at a public course?
Our public Confined Space Entry courses typically kick off at 08:30am unless otherwise advertised. It’s advised to arrive 15mins early to allow time to sort out any enrolment issues and get yourself setup for the day.
Does this course cover the us of Elevated Work Platforms?
If you are looking for training specifically for the use of Elevated Work Platforms such as scissor or boom lifts, we can point you in the right direction. Please note that a High Risk Work Licence is required to operate a boom with a >11m capacity.
This course only includes an overview of Elevated Work Platforms as a form of control measure for working safely at heights.

Participants that suffer from vertigo may find it difficult to partake in Work Safely at Heights practical activities and fulfil the requirements of the course.
There are no prerequisites for this unit.
Participants shall be required to complete an online enrolment process including providing a valid USI. Participants must provide photo ID to verify their identity. Participants shall be required to attend the entire session and complete all assessment activities.

Face to Face
Face to Face training will be conducted over a period of 8 hours including both theory and practical components. Training can be conducted both on or offsite provided a training room and heights access areas are available for use.
PARCOR caters for training onsite throughout Victoria including areas such as Melbourne, Geelong, Portland, Warrnambool, Colac, Bendigo, Ballarat, Horsham, Sale, Bairnsdale, Echuca, Mildura, Wangaratta, Dandenong, Frankston and Traralgon.
To ensure a quality and safe learning environment our Work Safely at Heights courses are capped at 12 participants.

Assessment of knowledge will be conducted by use of a workbook and verbal questioning. Participants will also be required to demonstrate competence through a range of practical activities.
