Implementation of a COVID-19 Action Plan

A message from Bob Bryden – Managing Director PARCOR

Implementation of a COVID-19 Action Plan

I would like to take this opportunity to contact you regarding the dynamic situation of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic and reassure you that the safety of our clients and our PARCOR team has always has been our top priority.

I can safely say that there have been no confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19 amongst the PARCOR team or their immediate families. We have put additional measures in place for the protection of our team and our participants.

We understand the various approaches that businesses are taking to the ongoing safety training of their staff. We have had some clients contact us to find ways to maintain or increase the safety skills of their staff through down time and work from home periods. This has resulted in us fast tracking our launch of our Self-Paced Online Learning courses along with looking at which of our courses can be delivered through distance based learning.

Our current COVID-19 action plan includes the following;

  • Close monitoring of all World Health Organisation, Federal and State Government COVID-19 Guidelines
  • Reminders on hygiene practices for all staff such as regular hand wash, hand sanitising and sanitising of hard surfaces at their workstations where possible
  • A policy has been developed that all staff who have travelled internationally or have been in contact with a person with a confirmed case of COVID-19 are not to attend PARCOR or any client sites for 14 days. In addition, any staff who present with flu-like symptoms are also not to attend PARCOR or any client sites for 14 days unless a medical clearance has been issued by their GP
  • Backup trainers have been nominated for all sessions to ensure our continuity throughout the pandemic
  • All students, contractors and visitors attending PARCOR will be required to complete a health and travel and contact declaration related to COVID-19
  • Increased cleaning and sanitisation of all hard surfaces and touch points within training area
  • Increased cleaning and sanitisation of all training equipment
  • Limiting the number of participants on public courses to 6, this will allow us to maintain one participant per desk and comply with the requirements of 1 person per 4 square metres
  • Alternative methods to be used during CPR training with the addition of further sanitisation methods, gloves and barrier shields
  • Classroom based training is now being offered through an online platform – Zoom. This allows our instructors to engage with participants whilst covering the theoretical components of each course and demonstrating practical skills. Participants can login on PC, Tablets and Phones.
  • Alternative methods of assessing practical skills are available such as one-on-one assessment, workplace 3rd party reports and uploading of photos or videos of the tasks being completed
