This course is for people handling food in a café, restaurant, school canteen, hotel, supermarkets, fast food outlet, sandwich shop, catering operations or other food retail outlets, under supervision.
This course is appropriate for cooks, chefs, caterers, kitchen stewards, kitchen hands, bar and food and beverage attendants, and sometimes room attendants and front office staff.
This course is self-paced where participants can learn in their own time.

A Statement of Attainment to individual participants who successfully complete the requirements of the unit of competency and have a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI)

Prerequisites and Entry Requirements
Entry requirements for Self-Paced learning
Computer skills such as web navigation and basic typing
Access to a computer or tablet with an internet connection
Access to a video recording device – a smart phone works well
Access to an operational food preparation environment
Delivery Method and Duration
Our Self-Paced Online course is best suited for participants who wish to be able to study in their own time
Participants will be required to complete the self-paced online learning module including theory assessment will in total will take around 3-7 hours to complete depending on experience. You can logout and login Participants will then be required to upload evidence of using hygiene practices for food safety within a workplace. This may be, video recordings of them partaking in food handling or a supervisor report.
You will have 4 weeks from the time of enrolment to complete all activities. After 4 weeks, your course will be locked out.
This learning method doesn’t necessarily suit all learning styles however our team is here to reach out in support.
Participants shall be required to complete an online enrolment process including providing a valid USI. Participants must provide photo ID to verify their identity. Participants shall be required to complete the entire online course and complete all assessment activities.
